Youth Week: Eco-cycling Tour along the Cooks River
April 8, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
For Youth Week, we’re encouraging young people in the Inner West to jump on their bikes and enjoy cycling in the local area.
Join a guided cycling tour along the Cooks River, while learning the safest and smoothest way to get around. Led by Pedal Set Go, bike education experts, the tour will enable you to update your knowledge of road rules, bike safety equipment and how to plan your route.
The tour will stop at various points of environmental interest along the Cooks River.
Who: This workshop is provided free for youth (13 to 24 years of age) who can confidently ride a bike and who are residents of the Inner West local government area.
Date: Thursday 8 April, 10am to 1pm.
Where: We will meet at the bottom of Alfred St Marrickville (just past no. 15) and ride to Tempe Wetlands, off South St Tempe. You’ll need to make your own way home from here.
Accessibility: If you have any access or support requirements in order to participate fully please let us know. There will be some bumpy parts along the route.
Priority will be given to Inner West residents. Search by address at the Office of Local Government website to find your local government area.
If you are not from the Inner West local government area please email firstname.lastname@example.org to be put on a waitlist.
Bookings: Bookings are essential and numbers are strictly limited.
Please bring: roadworthy bike, correctly fitting Australian/NZ Standard helmet, covered shoes, comfortable clothes, water bottle, snack and wear sunscreen.
