Come along to the Footprints Ecofestival on Sunday 25 August 2019, 11am-3pm at Whites Creek Valley Park, Annandale.
A celebration of sustainability through learning, doing and playing! Come and hear from experts on how you can be part of the change, at our workshops and talks program. There’ll be great food, market stalls, kids activities, free bike valet, skateboarding and magical adventurs to be had along Whites Creek Valley Park.
We have a talks program at the Stables this year, with panels on the psychological and creative responses to climate change, and the collaborative and circular economies. In the Cottage you can learn how to identify frog calls, make vegan cheese, make the most of your solar and hear from the creators of The Hollow Tree children’s book.
Workshops and tours
At our workshops throughout the park you can learn about waste free cooking, sustainable floristry, native and honey bees, how to maintain your rainwater tank and much more.
At our Reuse Hub you can swap clothes, repair e-appliances and jewellery, swap seeds and talk tools. Don’t forget to bring items to swap and repair!
Wander, explore and discover Whites Creek. For families there’ll be nature and recycled art, outdoor painting and a sensory treasure hunt. For the active-minded there’ll be skateboarding workshops, bicycle maintenance workshops and electric cars to view. Wander through food stalls, market stalls and discuss eco-action at our conversation corners.
The full program is now available at Inner West Council website. You can book workshops here, and plan your day.
