The Green Living Centre is a sustainability resource centre in the heart of Newtown. It’s the result of a partnership between City of Sydney and Marrickville councils, and has been helping the Newtown community reduce its environmental impact for the last ten years.
The Centre aims to inspire, motivate and support our local community to be environmentally healthy and sustainable and to reduce its carbon emissions in line with local targets. Our role at the Green Living Centre is to show local residents and local businesses the many ways that this can be done.
We invite you to attend one of our free workshops, sign up to our newsletter to keep track of our programs, or drop in and chat to staff about ways you can reduce your energy bill and support clean energy. We are also happy to take your collection of corks, batteries and printer cartridges, and we stock a small range of products you can buy, such as worm farms and worms, compost bins, and energy saving devices.
To find details of upcoming workshops visit greenlivingcentre.eventbrite.com.au, or sign up to receive our quarterly email newsletter. You can also find out what we're excited about by liking our Facebook page.
