Discover Whites Creek Wetlands, a thriving ecosystem with a wide range of plants and animals. The wetlands perform a number of important functions, including filtering stormwater before it reaches Rozelle Bay and Sydney Harbour, and providing freshwater habitat for long-necked turtles, frogs, native fish, insects and other aquatic organisms. Many bird species can also be found in the wetlands and surrounding area.
The tour will discuss the wetland ecosystem and surrounding habitat, much of which has been planted by community volunteers. Led by Adam Ward, Senior Ecology Volunteers and Projects Officer, Inner West Council.
