Save Time, Save Food workshop 2 – Creative cooking with leftovers
September 3, 2022 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
Have you ever bought food for a picnic and ended up with a whole lot of leftover crackers, cheese and dip? Food waste means throwing time and money in the bin and one of the easiest ways to avoid this is by knowing how to make multiple dishes from the same ingredients!
OzHarvest, one of the country’s biggest food charities, will teach you how to make risotto with leftovers from your fridge and pantry. Watch zero-waste experts in action in a live cooking demo to inspire you to create delicious food with no waste. OzHarvest chefs will share a range of tips and tricks to revolutionise your home-cooking.
Come hungry and eat your way into new ways to use your leftovers. Coming to this workshop will also give you the chance to win a dinner for two people at Refettorio OzHarvest Sydney.
This workshop is free of charge, but we do ask one small thing: please make sure you fill out this survey on your food habits before coming to the event (if you’ve already filled it out you don’t need to do it again). You’ll be helping us think of ways we can provide better food waste-related products and services back to the community. Please use the same email address to fill out the survey and register for the event.
Accessibility: This talk be Auslan interpreted.
If you have any other access or support requirements to participate fully, please let us know. The venue is wheelchair accessible and has an accessible toilet.
This free talk is presented by Inner West Council and is part of Footprints Ecofestival.
