Guided cycle and bushcare talk at EDGE GreenWay

Join bicycle education professionals Pedal Set Go on a guided bike ride from Newtown Neighbourhood Centre (the Hub) to EDGE GreenWay 2022, a 12 day artist residency on the serene banks of Iron Cove, Canal Road, Lilyfield.

Meet at 9.45pm for a quick bike check the group will set off from Newtown at exactly 10.00am.

Explore quiet streets and cycleways, traveling through a variety of green spaces with your friendly guides showing you the way. The Pedal Set Go team will answer all your questions about cycling for transport and will explain how to choose a low pressure and enjoyable route, all while you experience new perspectives on riding a bike in the Inner West.

This ride includes a stop at 11am in Haberfield at Richard Murden Reserve. Hear from Inner West Council’s Senior Volunteer and Projects Officer Adam Ward to learn about ecological restoration, bushcare volunteering and local native plants and animals in the Inner West.

Estimated arrival time at Edge Greenway will be 11.45pm for activities with Superorganism.

Superorganism is a collective of beekeepers, scientists, anthropologists, sound-makers and artists that span transdisciplinary practices with a common grounding in placemaking, pattern finding and systems of information and knowledge translation.

• comfortable clothes
• water bottle
• snack
