Sustainable Fashion Show and Talk @ Footprints Ecofestival

September 3, 2022 @ 1:45 pm - 2:45 pm

Slouge founder Joanne Gambale shares her ecofashion tips.

Using items from the Footprints Clothes Swap, Joanne Gambale will host a fashion parade to demonstrate how she would style some of the items swapped on the day, explaining the concepts behind each one. She’ll address colour combinations and pattern clashing, questions of stylish layering in warm climates, which fashion rules should be ignored and inventive ways to upcycle or reinvent clothes you just don’t wear.

The most sustainable fashion is the clothing already hanging in your wardrobes – or even in those of your friends, relatives or partners! Joanne Gambale of Slogue is a wardrobe stylist with a difference; she almost exclusively deals in secondhand clothes, and before she takes her clients shopping, she gets them to reassess what they already own, recall why they bought them and reimagine ways of combining and styling clothes for style that is unique, expressive and best of all sustainable.

Location: Talks area near the Stables

This free workshop is presented by Inner West Council as part of Footprints Ecofestival 2022.
