Repurposing common leftovers with Veggie Table

Do you love food but hate waste? Join us for a free two hour workshop to learn some practical tips and creative tricks to reduce food waste

With a little planning and creativity, there are simple ways you can upcycle leftovers and food scraps into a delicious meal. This interactive workshop will be led by Melissa Woodley, food waste warrior and founder of Veggie Table: Sustainable Supper Club. It will cover menu planning, food storage, zero waste kitchen hacks, smart shopping habits, composting and more. Melissa will demo how to make her favourite zero waste/use-it-up recipes, using foods that are often thrown away, and will provide recipe cards and resources so you can continue your journey to minimal food waste at home.

Bring your questions, your hungry tummies and a container to take away any leftover food. You are also invited to bring a pantry or fresh food item that you don’t know how to use for a fun group activity.

Please let us know if you have any specific access requirements. A hearing loop is available in the pavilion.

This workshop is presented by Inner West Council. Entry is free for residents of the Inner West Council area and priority will be given to Inner West residents. If you are unsure you can search by address at the  Office of Local Government website to find your local government area.
