POSTPONED: Plastic Free July – Make your own beeswax wraps

Do you want to keep food fresh without using plastic cling wrap? Natural beeswax wraps are the answer and you can make them yourself!
In this free hands-on workshop you’ll learn two different techniques to make beeswax wraps. We’ll discuss the benefits of reducing plastic use, where to find supplies, as well as how to refresh the wraps when they get a bit old.
We will supply 100% cotton cloth, beeswax and other materials. BYO own 100% cotton cloth if you have a favourite you’d like to use.
- A COVID-19 Safety Plan is in place for this event and the event will go ahead dependent on NSW government directives at the time of the workshop. We will be in touch if we need to cancel or postpone the workshop.
- All participants must provide contact details and observe good hygiene. Hand sanitiser will be available. Everyone must maintain a 1.5m distance from other attendees at all times.
- Please do not attend if you are feeling at all unwell on the day of the workshop. For information on COVID-19 symptoms visit NSW Health.
- We will be monitoring the progress of the disease and will abide by any directives from NSW Health. If you have any safety concerns, please get in touch.
This free workshop is presented by the Green Living Centre, an initiative of Inner West Council. It is for residents of the Inner West local government area and priority will be given to Inner West residents.
