Do you find yourself trying to make more conscious and sustainable choices in your life, but don’t always know where to begin? Perhaps you keep your reusable cup and shopping bag close, but are ready to do more?
Come and join us for an interactive workshop on living more sustainably in our homes, one room at a time.
Whether you’re a sustainability whiz, just starting out, or somewhere in the middle, this workshop has something for you. Perhaps it’s soft plastic recycling or reducing the number of products in your bathroom, or simply a home sustainability 101 refresher you’re after. Whatever it is, we’ve got you covered.
You’ll learn the simple steps to reduce your footprint at home (focusing on energy, water and waste) and the many resources online and in the community that can support this process. We’ll highlight environmental alternatives to traditional household items, the numerous ways you can minimise your consumption, and equip you to identify barriers and opportunities for change.
Bring along an empty spray bottle or larger glass jar (reusing an old one is perfect!), a notepad and pen, and we’ll provide the rest. Snacks and tea will be available.
This workshop will be facilitated by Green Living Centre staff and Madeleine Hill from Our Simple Gestures, an online platform helping people to minimise their environmental impact on the planet by making more informed choices in their home.
