Make a Crate workshop with The Bower @ Footprints Ecofestival

A 3 hour introductory workshop to woodworking.

The 3 hour Make a Crate workshop is designed to give a basic introduction to carpentry and woodworking skills. During the workshop each participant will build a small crate from reclaimed timber that they can take home with them at the end of the session.

This course is suitable for beginners (18 years and over) with no prior woodwork experience.

Tools and materials relating to the project will be provided by The Bower. We ask that participants ensure that long hair is tied back, and appropriate footwear (closed shoes) is worn.

Please bring along the following PPE:

  1. Facemask
  2. Safety googles/glasses
  3. Earmuffs or earplugs

The Bower Reuse and Repair Centre is an award-winning environmental charity and a champion of reuse and repair. They are a not-for-profit committed to reducing landfill.

Please note: this particular workshop is available to Inner West Council residents only. If you are unsure you can search by address at the Office of Local Government website to find your local government area.

Location: Rozelle Bay Community Native Nursery, 22 Wisdom St Annandale. There is parking in the nearby streets. Please don’t enter via Whites Creek Valley Park as it will be busy with people setting up the festival which starts at 11am.

This free workshop is presented by Inner West Council as part of Footprints Ecofestival 2022.
