Clothing Repair Café with the Bower

November 28, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Learn how to do simple clothing repairs at this free webinar with the Bower

Have you gone through your wardrobe lately and seen clothes you haven’t worn for a while? Is it because they’re in need of some TLC? Perhaps hems have come down, a button or two has fallen off or holes have appeared and need some patching?

The Bower’s experts Kate and Heidi will motivate you to get mending by showing you some handy tips on clothing repair and how to give your clothes a new lease on life. You’ll learn simple fixes including how to change elastic, hem trousers, fix a dodgy zip, repair a torn or holey piece of clothing and attach a button. You’ll be shown the essentials and the equipment that everyone should have in their sewing kit.

Let’s take a step closer to zero waste.

This webinar will be presented by Kate and Heidi from the Bower Reuse and Repair Centre. It is being held by Inner West Council’s Green Living Centre and Resource Recovery Planning.

Priority will be given for residents of the Inner West Council local government area. If you are not from the Inner West Council area please email education@greenlivingcentre.org.au to be put on a waitlist.

For any queries email education@greenlivingcentre.org.au or phone 9392 5054.
